This is a question we get asked quite often, so we thought we would provide some information on the distinction between the two services we provide.

ESPC (Electronic Student Permit Checking):

  • This is your MANDATORY clinical placement requirements review appointment
  • You will upload all of your schools requirements and supporting documents to your VERIFIED account
  • You will log in and monitor the progress of your appointment through your Dashboard in Verified
  • You will have to PAY for this service when you book it
  • YOU MUST CLEAR YOUR ESPC APPOINTMENT IN ORDER TO BE ASSIGNED INTO A CLINICAL PLACEMENT.
  • Virtual Doc can assist you in completing some of your schools requirements

VIRTUAL DOCTOR:

  • Is a Ministry of Health of Ontario approved virtual telemedicine/telehealth service designed to assist students
  • It is funded through OHIP - so if you have a valid OHIP card, then there is no charge
  • If you don't have OHIP - no problem, we will issue a receipt for your insurance submission
  • It is accessible through your smart phone, tablet or computer from anywhere
  • You do not have to visit a doctors office, you will connect with our team of Doctors who can help you:
    • Understand your schools requirements
    • Complete your schools clinical placement forms
    • Order LAB TESTS¬†
    • Review your LAB TESTS
    • Consult on your schools requirements
    • Answer your questions relating to your immunization status
    • Check to ensure your forms are completed correctly
  • VIRTUAL DOC DOES NOT REPLACE YOUR ESPC APPOINTMENT - YOU MUST BOOK AN ESPC APPOINTMENT
